Day 3

Should be day 3 of work but apparently today is a public holiday(youth day) so no early morning today and the weather gods seem have favoured us today. yesterday day 2 was comprised of spending all day trying to get my PC setup for work which it is finally and a meeting to explain to us what the company does and we discovered we apparently knew nothing or could only see the tip of the iceberg that is Korbitec, anywho with my PC finally set up i can now start planning and feeling out the real work and ima hopefully get to see a bit of Capetown today. Oh n forgot to mention my adventure on Capetown metro-rail on the mornin of day 2 ended up being stuck for about 30mins just before the Plumstead station which meant i was 30mins late for work but service was restored and all in all no complaints. y'all ave a good 1

Day 2

Well day 1 was hectic started interning officially day started at 8:30am with a meet and great breakfast with the different production teams, followed by a tour of the office building and the facilities, we then went and joined the production teams we were assigned to at my desk in a cubicle with about six other members of the production team sits a pc with an intel core I5 3.6Ghz processor and 8gigs of ram (thats right a pretty cool piece of kit). I spent the next 2 hours attempting to get my PC up for work unsuccessfully so, by the time we finally discovered we were installing 32bit software on a 64bit OS our lunch break was over and it was time for lecturers to get us acquainted with how they do business, then it was back to our production teams where we were briefed on the project we will be working on all in all i was thrown in deeper than i thought i would but i guess i'll jus have to learn to swim.
Its another cold morning in Capetown lets see what day 2(15/06/10) has in store for me, hope you guys have a good one/
